Description of what was done: Halletts Point is a new waterfront community rising in Astoria, Queens and developed by the Durst Organization. The first of seven planned buildings in set to open in summer 2018, with the rest rolling out over the coming years. Located directly on the East River, the development is reinvigorating the Astoria waterfront and staying true the Durst brand’s commitment to sustainable design and living.
The Durst Organization tapped Conway + Partners for the brand identity development for the project. Along with key Durst stakeholders, Conway named the full development along with all seven buildings. The Agency created a color palette inspired by the East River, a logo inspired by the bridges and ferry adjacent to the development, and provided art direction on the suite of renderings created. Conway + Partners also designed and developed a micro-site for the property.
